Gorka
Espiau, PhD in Social Innovation from the University of the Basque Country (EHU), is currently director of the Agirre Lehendakaria Center for Social and Political Studies (EHU), scientific director of the Work4Progress programme of the ”la Caixa”
Foundation and
coordinator of the expert group supporting the launch of the new social
innovation competence centres promoted by the European Commission across all
Member States.
He was previously an advisor to the Presidency of the Basque Government, associate professor at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montréal Studies (CRIEM–McGill University), and a senior fellow at the United States Institute of Peace.
