Elena holds a degree in Psychology from the Universitat de Barcelona and a Master's Degree in Clinical Gerontology from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, USA).

She is a certified trainer in Dementia Care Mapping by the University of Bradford (UK) and has completed training in Coaching Psychology from the Official College of Psychology of Catalonia.

For over a decade, she has been involved in projects focused on professional development, teamwork improvement, cultural and organisational change, and conflict management, particularly within third-sector organisations.

Since 2020, she has been part of the scientific leadership of the Always Supported programme by the ”la Caixa” Foundation and is the academic coordinator of the postgraduate course on Care for People in Situations of Loneliness: Empowering, Connecting and Raising Awareness at the Universitat de Vic, organised by the UVIC-UCC/ICO Chair in Palliative Care and the ”la Caixa” Foundation.
